Rural Clinics

The DBM team provide medical services in various underprivileged and impoverished communities within South Africa, where all too often government facilities are not accessible or non-existent.

While government clinics offer basic services many of these communities have members whom require specialised medical care due to the nature of their illnesses. The Doctors For Health team offers diversity due to the variety of specialists attending the community rural clinics we established, covering basic healthcare to specialised treatments in the cases of chronic and dreaded diseases.

All patients receive a personal consultation and a variety of medicines as prescribed by the doctors on duty.

The DBM team currently serve several community rural clinics in Kwazulu Natal and the Eastern Cape on a monthly basis. The clinics are held in remote areas where medical facilities are scarce or non-existent.

These clinics include:

500 to 1000+ patients are seen during the month, per week on clinic tours, with a steady incline in numbers as more people are made aware of the clinics and as a result of new clinics being opened.
